If a router is using 192.168.2.1 on the local network, you can log into the router's console by pointing a Web browser to

How 192.168.2.1 Works

This IP address is set by the manufacturer as default for some Belkin, SMC and a few other models of routers. However, any router or computer on a local network can be set to use this address. (To avoid address conflicts, only one device on the network should use it, however.)

192.168.2.1 is a private IPv4 network address, meaning that you cannot connect to a router from outside the home network using this address. Instead, you must use the router's public IP address.
